Captain Jeremy Midgette
Born and raised in Currituck, a small community just inside the coastline of the Outer Banks, a Graduate of East Carolina University and a avid lifelong outdoorsman, and grew up hunting and fishing the coastal waters of NE North Carolina. Fishing has always been his passion and he takes advantage of every opportunity from catfish and striper to Cobia and Tuna. Along the way he has been lucky enough to learn and fish beside some of the best Captains and mates in the world. He has held his USGC license captain since 2007 and has been Captain of the Backin Up since 2016. I have had the excitement of fishing the waters up and down the east coast, the Bahamas and Mexico. if you can’t find him in the duck blind or around slip 36 at Pirates Cove… he is probably on a rip or change somewhere looking for a bite.

Mate Tucker Parks
Young eager and ready to swing the gaff. He like most of us, grew up hunting and fishing the surrounding waters also spending a few summers mating with a sound charter fishing program prior to starting with the Backin Up in 2020. We couldn’t ask for any more, he’s first on the boat and last to leave everyday. Tucker also holds a current USGC Captains license.
